For anyone who wants to start an online business the choices can be overwhelming. How do you find a good affiliate marketing training course? You are bombarded with 'gurus' telling you that their method is the absolute do all, end all. You would be foolish not to shell out money for their program. But is that true? Is there really only one way to make serious money online?
No, of course not. But it is important to narrow your focus or you will be going from one program to the next and the only thing getting bigger is your credit card bill.
One of the best methods I've found for making money online (on a shoestring budget) is affiliate marketing.
This is a program where you sell someone else's product, usually a digital product of some type, and you earn a commission. To sign up to become an affiliate is free. There are many affiliate marketplaces such as Clickbank.com, Commission Junction.com just to name two.
These marketplaces act as the middle man between the affiliate, you, and the person who created the digital product. They handle all tracking and paying of commissions. So, you've decided you want to be an affiliate marketer. You've gone to one of the online marketplaces and signed up for an account, picked the products you want to promote, got your affiliate website....now what?
If you were going to become a doctor what would you do? Go to school of course. You would have to learn how to be a doctor. This is no different. You have to learn how to be an internet marketer.
The big difference is that to learn to become an internet marketer won't cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and it won't take 8 years.
Now you need to find a good affiliate marketing training course so you can learn how to get people to your website so they buy and you get paid.
But how do you do that? Here's where it can get a little tricky. If you're new to online marketing you probably don't know a PPC from an SEO. So how do you know which affiliate marketing training course is best?
There are dozens if not hundreds of very good products available that can teach you what you need to know to market effectively online. They vary in price, scope of what they cover and quality.
Just wading through all the different options can be time consumimg and expensive. Where do you start?
Well if you were looking for a good restaurant you would probably ask your friends or family for a recommendation. That is always best.
But if you don't know anyone who can give you a recommendation than your next best option is to go to Clickbank.com (or one of the other online affiliate sites) do a search for internet marketing products and check out some of the products that show up in the top 10 search results. One really nice thing about Clickbank is that they are excellent on processing returned items quickly. So if you try out a product and it doesn't deliver what it promises you can get a refund.
